A Story for anyone holding the pieces

There are stories we carry. Stories that echo in our hearts long after the final page. Beneath

the Broken Sky is one of those stories.

Set in the rugged desert town of Zarifa, this book begins with Khalil—a man rooted in love,

comfort, and quiet routine. His life is simple, deeply lived. There’s something sacred in his

slow mornings, barefoot cooking under the open sky, and the gentle way he loves Rashida.

But the world, as we know, doesn’t always leave our peace untouched. And in Khalil’s case,

war edges closer, and leads him far from home, to Paris.

He never returns.

Rashida is left shattered, homeless, and heartbroken—adrift in a foreign city with nothing but

memories. And yet, somehow, fate still has something waiting for her. It’s here that Nasser

enters. A man with his own story of love and separation, still aching from the space between

him and a woman named Maya. His path crosses Rashida’s not by chance—but by the quiet

orchestration of something greater.

Their connection isn’t a lightning bolt. It’s something softer. A shared humanity. A

recognition of pain. A flicker of warmth in the cold. And in those small, sacred moments, a

new beginning quietly arrives.

Beneath the Broken Sky is not just a love story. It’s a story about life—its messiness, its ache,

its fragile beauty. It’s about how even in the deepest uncertainty, something steady within us

remains. And how, even after the worst has happened, hope has a way of finding us.

It’s also a reminder that anyone’s life can change within a single day. Homelessness does

not equate to laziness. Hardship is not a flaw in someone’s character. So often, we look away,

quick to judge or quicker to dismiss—but the truth is, the ground can shift beneath any of us.

And kindness matters more than ever. The world should not be so quick to condemn when

what we all truly need is compassion.

This story is about people who could be any of us. People torn between home and safety.

Between what they love and what they’ve lost. Between staying and going. But through it all,

love remains. Sometimes it’s wrapped in twilight. Sometimes it rises like the sun. And

sometimes, it’s the only thing left standing after everything else has fallen.

This book carries pieces of all our hearts. Of longing and resilience. Of borders and

belonging. Of the deep knowing that we are not alone.

If you’ve ever found yourself standing in the middle of a storm, unsure which way is

home—this story is for you.

If you’ve ever lost something you thought you couldn’t live without—this story is for you.

And if you still believe that, even in a broken world, love matters—this story is especially for

you.

With love,

Lucy
